Learn the basics that will help you take your photography beyond 'point & Shoot'. From beginners to advanced amateurs will find useful information. After the busy two days, attendees will leave with an understanding of the basics of digital imaging as well as the fundamentals of what makes a good photograph. Learn what features to look for when purchasing a new camera. Learn how to put together the computer system that will allow you to edit, print and manage your digital images. Other topics will include exposure, lens selection and pre-visualizing images. Adobe Lightroom is one of the leading image editing and management software packages on the market. It is so feature packed that it may be the only imaging software you will need.
This will be two days of information packed lectures and demonstrations. Feel free to bring your laptop computer with free Lightroom and Elements trial versions loaded. There will not be enough time during the seminars to help you install the software but William will be glad to help by answering questions via e-mail or the telephone. If you don't have laptop, or are not comfortable with your computer skills, there will be a couple of iMacs available for 'testing the waters'. Don't worry about Mac or Windows, Lightroom and Photoshop work almost identically on both platforms.

Each participant will receive a complete set of class notes so that note taking during demonstrations will not be necessary.
