A photograph isn't just the print at the end,
it's the experience of being in the wild, surrounded by different noises and scents. It's the whole process of seeing the life around you and becoming
absorbed into it. My happiest moments are waiting with my camera for the moment that amazes and moves me. When I photograph nature, be it animals or
landscapes, I'm hoping to share my excitement at what I'm seeing as well as my love for what we have on this planet. I've always wanted to do something
to capture the beauty of nature; but by photographing both wildlife and landscape I've gone beyond what is beautiful. I've seen the whole cycle of life,
from birth to death, and seeing life in that kind of fullness and that kind of simplicity is awe inspiring. When I photograph, I'm trying to capture
just one essential element, one pause in that fierce rush of life that surrounds us. I want to see the color or texture, the synchronicity or
chaos of life. My photography is motivated in part by a heartfelt desire to show the beauty of creation to others and inspire them to help protect it.
